So obviously I'm a little behind on my fall wedding blogs. It's only March, but who's counting. This wedding was a completely different experience - so laid back. So easy! Crammed, stressful timelines with lots of unpredictables are usually the norm (keeping it real) so this was a welcomed break in our packed fall schedule.
It was on a Sunday with the reception during early afternoon - no dancing, no cake cutting, no bouquet toss, no DJ - just a whole lot of quality time with friends and family at a beautiful winery on a sunny October day. Oh, and an ice cream bar, so right off the bat everyone was #winning. The cocktail hour ended right at twilight so we could do our couple's session in that magical light. Of course, I'm partial to fall light anyway, but this was truly gorgeous. It would be such a shame to not have a sunset at this beautiful venue!
First time I've ever seen an ice cream bar at a wedding in lieu of cake - and I didn't see any complaints. AH-MAZING!
Best. Idea. Ever.
