Back when I first started out with my photography business, I took photos of a lot of seniors and wanted nothing to do with weddings. One of those seniors was Kathryn. And I always remembered she had the most beautiful blue eyes I’d ever seen.

Years later, she sent me an email. She had been following my photography page and saw that, in a random twist of fate, I was now doing weddings. She told me she was was engaged and wanted me to take her photos. We had a beautiful time and I couldn’t have been happier to see that she had fallen in love. (see their engagement session here)

Norman, Your Parents Got Married.

Well, how do I even wrap up the beautiful whirlwind that was Parker and Brianna’s wedding? Between the mint short bus, the ATVs, the family barn that was built just for weddings, and Norman the goldendoodle — who is basically a clone of our goldendoodle except much less fat and slightly more obedient — truly, I’m not sure where to start.

Way back when I first started taking photos, I did some senior pictures for Lindsay’s sister, Mallory. Back in those days, I wanted nothing to do with dogs (she brought hers to the shoot, which I begrudgingly admitted was quite cute) and certainly nothing to do with weddings. Fast forward some years and here I am… sitting next to a goldendoodle named Bernie who runs my life, while I’m blogging wedding photos for Lindsay. Life is kind of funny that way, isn’t it?

Pretty much since August 25, I’ve been racking my brain trying to think of like two people who would fly across country for my wedding.

And an intercontinental flight? Maybe if I was starring in a play opposite Justin Timberlake. And they were promised dinner, a meet + greet, and a daily stipend. But for my wedding? Unlikely.
