When Matthew and Priscilla first contacted us we were like, um, this is our wedding! Of course, they had to choose us.... which they did. Otherwise, it'd be really awkward for us to be blogging their wedding right now.

Where do I start?!? Despite living in the city, this beautiful couple wanted to get married on Matthew's family farm in Lena, IL. As soon as they mentioned a rustic, outdoor wedding ceremony involving hay bails, a cookout, and random cute cows my heart went pitter-pat. I grew up in the country, mmk? I might have been overly excited. All the family pitched in to pull off this beautiful day - everything from decorating to cooking and even officiating. Are you dying of sentimental overload yet? It was truly a beautiful (and yea, a little windy) day that we were so honored to witness!

We were so excited to meet Jerod and Megan! They booked us for their wedding via phone and so their engagement session was our first time meeting them. What a gorgeous couple and so completely natural in front of the camera! The weather was absolute perfection as we wandered around Jerod's family farm for pictures and then to a local park. We are beyond pumped for their wedding next summer. Ahhh!

We were so excited to meet Eric and Courtney! They live out of town and booked us via phone for their wedding next year. When they had time to come back to Rockford, we scheduled a little engagement session downtown. Special thanks to Irish Rose for being so awesome and accommodating! :) These two were so laid back and adorable in front of the camera, we had a great time! The only bad part was we had some stellar plans to take sunset pics on top of a parking garage and due to an event downtown, there wasn't a SOLITARY parking spot. So, we quickly made our way to the bridge in front of Burpee just in time for an entirely pink sky. It was gorgeous!

I love all weddings, but fall weddings are always my favorite. And I've got news for you - I've been trying to write shorter blogs, but that isn't happening today. Courtney, the bride, really did an incredible job with her wedding details and colors as well as incorporating sentimental pieces throughout. Her bouquet, from Cypress House in Rochelle, IL, included red, dusty pink, deep purple, and feather details, all wrapped up in her grandmother's handkerchief. After the wedding, the bridal party took pictures down by the marina before heading into the reception at the Rockford Country Club. Inside, the tables included centerpieces with mismatched vases with various types of florals, berries, and succulents that tied in the feathers as well. Did my heart just skip a beat? Table assignments were victorian keys and favors were homemade raspberry jam, tied with lace ribbon. The desert bar included handmade mini pies from Kate's Pie Shop in Rockford, IL in varying flavors, candy, cupcakes from Halo Cupcake, coffee and drinks. It was a perfect day.

What a beautiful fally senior photo shoot in Belvidere! Leksi was a dream to photograph - so natural in front of the camera. And those eyes? Just stop it! We wandered around, found some grungy stuff, golden light, and fall foliage - pretty much a dreamy night. I love senior photos - they are such a welcomed break in the middle of the busy wedding season!
